The Delta Zeta sorority was founded in 1902 and brought to the University of Washington campus in 1914. As an organization, we were founded with the purpose to create strong and lasting friendships while stimulating the pursuit of knowledge and promoting the moral and social culture of our members. Over the last 100 years on campus, we have stimulated the growth of our chapter; DZ sisters are actively involved in ASUW, First Year Programs, athletics, and numerous other student organizations. We are dedicated to enriching lives – not only of our sisters’, but of others. Delta Zeta is committed to philanthropic work with UW Speech and Hearing Sciences, Starkey Hearing Foundation, House Research Institute and Gallaudet University, the only accredited university to fully accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students.
