Panhellenic is currently working on a plan for recruitment that ensures the safety of all the women participating in primary recruitment. We want you to know that recruitment will be happening in some way and we will work on accommodating all situations so no one is left out. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

As of now, Primary Recruitment (formerly known as Formal Fall Recruitment) 2020 is still scheduled for September 11-18. We are monitoring the current situation and will make any adjustments based on University of Washington decisions related to the fall quarter, as well as current CDC and local public health guidance. Recruitment is not cancelled! In the event that in-person recruitment is not possible, we are working on an alternative plan and will keep the website, as well as our social media platforms updated. PNM registration will be open June 1 and remain open through August 15.

UW's Housing and Food Services have updated their terms for housing for the fall. Please read this carefully and make the necessary adjustments to your housing plans for fall. More information about chapter housing will be coming soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time!

"All HFS applicants who plans to live on-campus with Housing and Food Services (HFS), you will need to complete the HFS Public Health Agreement Addendum by 11:59 pm on July 12. If not, your HFS application will be cancelled at no charge.

All HFS applicants can cancel their housing at no charge until 11:59 pm on July 12.

If you are a new freshman or new transfer who is interested in a sorority, you will need to register for recruitment by August 15. HFS will cancel your HFS application at no charge and your deposit will be refunded back to you.

If you are a continuing student who is interested in a sorority, if your register for recruitment, you will need to cancel your own HFS application and are subject to the cancellation policy in the agreement."

More information about housing and dining can be found in the HFS application guide. In addition, please review the deadlines and financial commitments of the housing agreement

In previous years, women wishing to go through Primary Recruitment were told not to sign up for housing, but with the uncertainty of what fall quarter will look like, we are encouraging signing housing agreements this year. If you are receiving conflicting information from friends or family who have participated in Primary Recruitment at UW in the past, please know that information does not hold true this year.

Once we have firm plans for Primary Recruitment and know for sure that the new members will move into the chapter houses in the fall, incoming freshmen and new transfer students will receive information from HFS regarding their housing application cancellation. Current UW students will be responsible for cancelling their own HFS application and are subject to cancellation charges.
