Greek Week

Greek Week 2010: May 10th – 14th

Greek Week is a long-standing tradition in the Greek community. It is a week-long event where sororities and fraternities group into teams to participate in various activities and competitions based around philanthropy and service. The week is a fun way for the community to rally together for our shared value of giving back to others. As teams participate in Panhellenic and IFC, individual chapter and other sponsored events, they earn Greek Week points. The total points for an event corresponds to the amount of members that participate, the money raised or team placement in the event.

This year, Greek Week will be benefitting Relay for Life, Northwest Center, University District Food Bank, Lumana, and the Puget Sound Blood Center. Events kick off on Friday, May 7th with the all-Greek Mariners game, where over 600 University of Washington Greek students will be in attendance. The following week of May 10th-14th will be filled with scheduled events as follows:

Although Greek Week is only one week long, the Greek community spirit and enthusiasm for service and philanthropy remains strong year round.
